Doors used with this operator should be balanced with the ability to be manually lifted by hand in an emergency or power outage.
The operators are typically mounted to the wall when used with smaller sectional overhead doors with a vertical or high lift and mounted to the wall or the front of the hood when used with rolling doors and grilles.

Motor and controller: Continuous duty rated DC Motor with controller producing a powerful soft start/soft stop output of 2000 Newtons of force to drive commercial sectional doors while reducing mechanical impacts that cause premature wear of door components

Radio control and external receiver terminals: Terminal strip provided inside the controller to provide quick convenient connections for adding external radio control receivers from any desired manufacturer
May be used in two different ways: as an OPEN only control (all LiftMaster operators) or as an OPEN/CLOSE control (only LiftMaster operators with types B2 and S2 control wiring).
In the latter case pulling the cord will open a fully closed door close a fully opened door and reverse a closing door.
Pulling the cord whlie the door is opening will either have no effect (type B2 wiring) or will stop the door (Solid State Logic Control Board).
Shutters can be up to 13'- 6 inches wide and 12 feet tall with UL labels Class A B or C while still being able to function as normal counter rolling shutters.
Oversized fire shutters can be manufactured up to 20 feet wide
Model 7500 fire shutters can be installed with either a manual lift external motors a hand crank with or without automatic testing tubular models with the option of automatic testing
Along with UL labels that will automatically close the fire shutters for either 3 1½ or ¾ hours the fire shutters can also be manufactured with smoke protection
Available finishes: Hot-dipped galvanized steel with an optional baked-on gray polyester enamel coating or 304 stainless steel with a number 4 finish flat profile
The viscous speed governor can be set to automatically close the fire shutters at speeds of 6 inches per second up to 24 inches per second complying with NFPA 80 specifications.
