The FAAC Model 844 automated system for sliding gates is an electro-mechanical operator transmitting motion to the sliding leaf via a rack or chain pinion appropriately coupled to the gate
The non-reversing system ensures the gate is mechanically locked when the motor is not operating and therefore no lock needs to be installed
Model 7000 are manufactured with UL labels of Class A B or C; however their sizes can be customized to an extent with UL oversize certificates.
Model 7000 fire door includes UL labels of 3 1½ and ¾ hours.
The fire door’s heat-sensing technology will allow the doors to close automatically with additional smoke protection available that makes the fire door more reliable than alternative options.

Doors used with this operator should be balanced with the ability to be manually lifted by hand in an emergency or power outage.
The operators are typically mounted to the wall when used with smaller sectional overhead doors with a vertical or high lift and mounted to the wall or the front of the hood when used with rolling doors and grilles.
